Comparative Listening
Ok, it's been bugging me since I've owned the Splinter Group's "Time Traders":
"Where have I heard 'Real World' before?" I just heard. It really shouldn't surprise me, but it did, for some reason. Compare "Real World" to the new live version of "Going Down Slow" on Eric Clapton's "One More Car, One More Rider" CD. The backbeat of both songs is so similar it's downright EERIE! Now, would somebody PLEASE talk Eric & Peter into doing a full collaborative album (along the lines of the one that Eric & B.B. did)?? Half the album could be the two of them with Eric's band, and the other half the two of them with the Splinter Group. (and maybe a song or two with Mick, John & Christine as the rhythm section)
