2 under-rated Janet tunes! These are from janet (1993) - by far her best album.

^ janet. is one of the best albums ever! Love Anytime, Anyplace, This Time, Again, and New Agenda the most

Janet Jackson is an incredible artist, I do believe I will listen to the Control album right now

No way!! Velvet Rope eclipses janet. and everything prior by a long shot! I will agree that after All For You, it all started to suck badly. Her newest though, Discipline is decent enough to love, but I miss 90s Janet.

I miss 80's/90's Janet Jackson as well. The Velvet Rope had it's moments, though. I particularly loved What About, Together Again, and Every Time.

I do like The Velvet Rope and it does have some great moments, most of which you've already mentioned, but I don't think it's a very consistent album - sorry!

I saw Tina Turner live in Manchester last year with a bunch of friends and my dad. It's one of the best gigs I've ever been to - the atmosphere was AMAZING! Damn, she's doing well for 70 (69 then). Both of these songs have been in my head today - both are from Foreign Affair (1989).

You'll know the first one - from the tour dvd...

This one is a bit of a forgotten gem but it's amazing. Tina doing some proper kick-ass blues here... I couldn't find a decent HQ vid from 2009 tour but she did it on that one too.

I can't argue with that, and completely agree. It's very similar to SYW in that regard.

Maria by Blondie. I've been addicted to this song for the past few days since Georgie's enthusiasm for the band began to rub off on me. I forgot how much I loved this song.

Giggity giggityyyy. I've been listening to a Blondie show from the 23/12/76 tonight, having a little moment to myself.

Right now I've got Let The Music Speak - ABBA on.
