Soundstage might never see the light of day
OK, I was over on another board (cough, cough) and I came across this startling info.
It seems that someone recently attended a Wallflowers taping and a tour guide mentioned Lindsey. It was said that Lindsey insisted on doing two takes of every single song, and that even when that was all said and done, he didn't like the performances/final product enough and will not give them permission to air it. So apparently it is Lindsey's decision for his Soundstage not to air--he's exercising his right of refusal. Keep in mind that this is second hand info.

I really hate to say this but that might explain his tone about the whole thing when I talked to him last Sept. in Philly. It really did not seem like his #1 priority.

don't you know that we're waiting? we are waiting, we are waiting... i can guarantee you that the performance is better than you think. and ps, stevie's not the only one with 'phonebook' fans. when everything went to **** onstage last year, people were content to watch you work out for F sake! no one left, no one bitched, they stood and watched you do push ups... it's been two years, babe, and you're trying my patience. sign the damned thing over, NOW!
