A new artist I'm in LOVE with!

A friend of mine recently turned me on to an artist I'd never heard of before... Melody Gardot. Here is a video from her latest album, you all have got to check her out!

For some reason youtube blocks embedding the video on here. I don't think I've ever been so taken by a voice since I discovered Stevie Nicks at the age of 11. I'm such a big old girl... I am playing Melody's "My One And Only Thrill" album and cleaning house right now... and her voice is just giving me chills and bringing tears to my eyes! I've never been particularly into jazzy music like this... but Melody is an exception! The sound of her voice just breaks my heart! She has such an inspiring story if you look her up too. Anyway, I thought my fellow Ledgies would probably be music lovers like myself, and enjoy hearing this.

Oh, and I don't think youtube's sound quality is particularly great... so look Melody up on www.grooveshark.com They have pretty decent quality streaming music. You can play all of her albums on there too... and just about anybody else you can think of too!

I think it's just this particular artist's record label blocking embedding . Happy New Years!!

I see... Happy New Year to you too Louie! I didn't have any plans and just stayed in and watched some movies. I ran to the store earlier though, so that was my highlight tonight I guess lol.
