Cool Stevie Nicks - Feb.16,2006 - Melbourne, AU. - DVD torrent

http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-d....php?id=209488

Artist: Stevie Nicks & Melbourne Symphony Orchestra
Date: 18 February 2006
Venue: Rod Laver Arena
City/State: Melbourne, Victoria
Country: Australia
Bootleg Title: Live In Melbourne (DVD1)
Tour: Gold Dust Tour 2005/2006

1.01 Outside The Rain
1.02 Dreams
1.03 Rhiannon
1.04 Sorcerer
1.05 Enchanted
1.06 Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You
1.07 Stand Back
1.08 If Anyone Falls
1.09 Beautiful Child
1.10 Stop Draggin' My Heart Around

This is the newly circulating 3 DVD-R set of Stevie's performance with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra from Feb.18,2006. Great visuals with the steady screen shots, which gives this recording an almost "professional" recording appearance. Sounds very clear and very balanced, A very recommended show.

The "Reshoots" are exactly that, Video "Reshoots" of the opening tracks since there were "technicals issues" which caused the first takes to have not been correctly recorded.

This concert was to have appearred as an official recording in the future, but those plans are now scrapped for some unknown reason.

Thank you to Kathryn for this recording!

Disc 2 and 3 to follow soon.

That's great, but they might have to scrap posting "Edge" and "Landslide" as part of the torrent since DIME won't allow officially released material on it's site... Unless they've changed, or nobody notices.

edit.. Looks like it's been banned for other reasons.

In retrospect, isn't it wonderful that Soundstage turned out the way it did? It's totally superior to the Melbourne stuff.

It's a rockin', sockin', spickin' & spannin' Stevie who is going to be popular once again on VH1 (assuming they play cuts from it).

From the get go, I knew that thing wouldn't make it to an official DVD.... I don't think it was REALLY intended for a dvd... I think it was for the audio only... There were no cameras that night except for the usual ones for the screens... and she looked half asleep... Plus on the retakes, she didn't change back to what she was wearing on the first two tracks of the night....

And yes.. It is wonderful that Soundstage is going to DVD rather then this one.... Far better example of her live.

Hmm, but isn't it technically not really the officially released version? The versions on crystal visions were digitally remastered and not from whomever recorded this video. I know that's a stretch, but I thought maybe it could be a way around the rule.

I know what you are saying... Apparently it doesn't matter... Here's a section of their policy...

No torrent may distribute any official material. That term includes:
  • All official releases, in print or out of print, whether sold world-wide or only in certain areas;
  • Upcoming official releases announced by the artist or the label;
  • The audio of performances released officially on VHS, Laserdisc, or DVD videos - even if the recording is from a different source from that of the officially available material;
  • Alternate recording sources of any officially released performance, unless the artist's published policy for trading permits collectors to continue trading them after another capture has been released officially;

Cool Banned lifted

The torrent

since it was banned due to "insufficient information":

Insufficient information

Is this PAL or NTSC? This is obligatory info for *all* video torrents.

We would also appreciate full lineage and video attributes.

DO NOT REUPLOAD
DO NOT CHANGE INFO FILE
Send the details to dimemods@dimeadozen.org Subject=torrent_209488
If everything looks ok, we will add the info to the description and lift the ban.

Please read the Dime wiki before you consider uploading another torrent -

Default Also...

DVD #3 has been listed:

http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-d....php?id=209636

Please note: DVD2 contains both "Landslide" and "Edge of Seventeen" which were released in audio form on "Crystal Visions" in 2007. Unfortunately, it would be a violation of DIME policy to upload this DVD. I hope you enjoy DVD1 (previously posted) and DVD3. Crystal Visions is worth the purchase price just for those live tracks, so I encourage Stevie fans to buy it if you haven't already done so.

DVD3:
Artist: Stevie Nicks & Melbourne Symphony Orchestra
Date: 18 February 2006
Venue: Rod Laver Arena
City/State: Melbourne, Victoria
Country: Australia
Bootleg Title: Live In Melbourne (DVD3)
Tour: Gold Dust Tour 2005/2006

Type: Audience
Audio Quality: A
Picture Quality: A
Media: 1DVD-R
Format: MPEG-2
Bitrate: 9654 Kbps
Aspect ratio: 4/3, 720 x 480
Standard: NTSC
Audio Codec: AC3 256 Kbps

Menu: title
Chapters: random

Setlist:
3.01 Encore Break
3.02 Rock And Roll
3.03 Beauty And The Beast
3.04 Outside The Rain (Reshoot)
3.05 Dreams (Reshoot)
3.06 Thank You's & Goodbye

Lineup:
Stevie Nicks: vocals
Waddy Wachtel: guitar
Jana Anderson: vocals
Sharon Celani: vocals
Al Ortiz: bass
Jimmy Paxson: drums
Daryl Smith: keyboard, piano

Wow, they left no stone unturned! Ahhh, I see Throwndown has it available also. Honestly I wasn't crazy about Landslide or Edge from this show anyway. Overall I think they really missed a great opportunity with the orchestra in that they pretty much drowned them out with the same old arrangements. HAEWAFY and Landslide scream orchestra, but they just didn't take advantage of it. I think Rhiannon is pretty good, and Beautiful Child was great also. I just watched the first DVD, and I didn't realize Waddy had a twin brother who was a conductor!

I recently decided to put this show on one blu-ray disc just for the sake of having it all in one place and not having to switch discs. In the process of transferring I fixed the letterboxed issue (cropped to 16x9) so you no longer have to watch it inside of a black box. I was so happy with the results I decided to post it on youtube and share.

Unfortunately I can't share Landslide and Edge of Seventeen because they're officially released. Does anyone here know some way around this? Can I put it up on Youtube 'unlisted' and share the link here? I try to stay away from posting officially released stuff on my channel so it doesn't get taken down.

Tim

Tim, thank you for posting these videos. I just watched Beautiful Child, but it was inside a black box still(letterbox). Made no difference to me though.
