OMG this is terrible news. I met this man back in 1975 and he was very sweet, very kind. Reat in Peace Clarence.

he had a huge stroke about a week ago and prospects for recovery didn't seem too good.

Even thought I'd sort of expected this after hearing about the stroke last week, this is still a shock.

I just read about Clarence's passing in the Washington Post, so I immediately turned the radio to E Street Radio. "Back in Your Arms" was playing when I tuned in, and Clarence's saxaphone solo just kind of got to me - I thought he was getting better since his stroke.

I've been a fan of Bruce and the E Street Band forever, and one of the highlights of their shows is Clarence's sax playing. The band will never sound the same.

We will miss you Big Man. Thanks for the memories and music - I'm listening to you now.
