I cannot seem to get an avatar, It keeps saying the file is to BIG

What am I gonna do

The file size of the Avatar has to be less than 19.5 kilobytes and the dimensions of the avatar have to be 50x50 or smaller (or 75x75 for Supporting Ledgies).
