I didn't see the post before it was deleted.

My single biggest dislike about BuckVie is that the intro to On With The Show sounds exactly like this one particular royalty free track that gets used on youtube videos all the time.

I quite like the song and the sentiment it expresses, whilst being saddened by the irony of it "I will stand by my band..."

I do think the outro is a tiny bit too long and there seems to be a bit of re-use of a motiff from You and I Part II. John's bass is lovely and tasteful, as ever.

But where's Christine? I'm not going to invest in some super-deluxe headphones to see if I can make her out, deeply buried in the mix. I find it a little odd that LB didn't use her more on his songs, even if he thoughtthat they were in the can before her return...

For a duets album, there could have been a bit more duetting...

You do know that Lindsey is somewhat of a control freak, right? Are you new here?

Even allowing for that....

I keep listening for those soothing and subtle oohs and aahs he sometimes let her add to his songs and they're just not there. Just an extra bit of colour was on his palette and he thought better of it.

I love BuckVie just as it is, and I'm very thankful that it's free of Old Goatsy. Could there have been more Christine? Sure... but I love my swan song, regardless.

yeah but isn't that precisely why they brought in Mitchell Froom?? Doesn't he deserve some of the blame??

I thought Mitch Froom produced the EP and he played instruments on LBCM...I've got to read the liner notes(case) for LBCM!

I stand corrected. I was going from my memory of the mini documentary video if them in the studio and though Mitchell Froom was the guy sitting at the console. Lindsey is all over not just his songs but hers too. There's your problem right there, man.

I still want to hear Christine's version of Carnival Begin before Lindsey turned it into I'm So Afraid

Mitchell Froom, who’s produced a ton of artists, including Crowded House in the ‘80s, a band he officially joined in 2019. Incidentally, he played on Out Of The Cradle. Fun fact: He was married to Suzanne Vega.

Anyway, he was brought on to entice Stevie to record with them. Those were the songs Lindsey did with Mick and John in 2012. I don’t know how involved Froom was after Christine came back.

Don’t make me become an existential threat.
