I was there too. tight seats in this old theatre ... but what a great night it was. Core-band on fire and the guest musicians were absolutely fab !!! Such a surprise to see Jeremy Spencer playing.
Too many highlights .... the Steven Tyler/Billy Gibbons combo ... David Gilmour on Oh Well part 2, the acoustic part with Noel Gallagher ... Kirk Hammett on Green Manalishi ... I made a few clips and shared the on Twitter and Instagram, you might have seen them. Cannot wait for the box-set to relive this show. |

I'm wondering if her fingers just can't twinkle anymore.

I’m thinking the same thing. Or she was content to play chords because she only sat in on a song or two, right? Whatever the case, we know she can still play, and play very well. Both the BBC documentary and the LB/CM documentary demonstrate her considerable skills on the piano.

Btw: here is another video of Christine’s performance. Some fun banter at the beginning and better visuals throughout:

And I notice Mick is just playing quarters and the other drummer is doing all the work. Would someone from FMAC please feature your talent?

I think her fingers still twinkle but this was a bad choice of song for her to do , but you don't know what politics was going on about who would do which song .Thinking about it, I would have preferred her to have sung Need Your Love So Bad with Rick Vito doing Guitar duties instead of Johnny Lang who didn't make it work for me in the line up that actually performed it !

I cant find any links to that or; Rollin Man, Homework, Doctor Brown, Sandy Mary, Looking For Somebody or Love That Burns. Can anyone help? PS: Jeremy- Various comments I've read here and there suggest your performances were amongst the stand out highlights of the show.

Mick Fleetwood was appearing in interview on Johnnie Walkers sound of the 70s radio programme BBCRadio2, on Feb 20th....(I missed it but just listened to it on the bbc iplayer)
Mick explained about the (then) upcoming Concert, how it came about etc.etc He gave a few interesting bits ....Peters guitar sound, the spiked drink(to be fair to Mick he wouldn’t be drawn on this topic), they were called Fleetwood Mac whilst still members of John Mayall etc If anyone wants to hear it, Mick’s interview starts at 1hr 09. Music played, Green Manalishi, Albatross, Oh Well, For your love by The Yardbirds.. Last edited by sue; 03-01-2020 at 12:08 PM.. Reason: Spelling error |
