Talking The most 70s video ever

This video from early 1975 from the Sonny and Cher show with the Osmonds has to be the most 70s thing ever. OMG those costumes. This also was a precursor of things to come. Right after this Donny and Marie got their own variety show. Then the Bradys appeared on the Donny and Marie show and then the Brady Bunch got their own variety show too.
Long live the 70s and the variety shows

That video immediately reminded me of this Waterloo video clip. I can't imagine Lindsey with Bjorn's guitar. Or Christine with Agnetha's boots.

I've always found the Osmonds especially dorky with their big white teeth and 70s hair. But I admit I find this so entertaining. In the mid 70s this was American TV with variety shows. Lots of work go into these. They have to first record the track in the studio. Then practice the dancing and chorography and then lip sync it all together for TV recording.

Osmond Brothers were never popular in Peru. Those who were well known were Donny & Marie (It's A Little Bit Country... A Little Bit Rock 'N Roll). And Osmond brothers were usual guests of their show, that's how I knew about them.

Another frequent guest of the D&M show was Paul Lynde.

Same in the states. Most knew the Osmond brothers from Donny and Marie. Paul Lynde was really popular on their show. However Paul got arrested for lots of stuff that went against the grain of the squeaky clean Donnie and Marie show and he was silently let go. ABC still had him under contract and gave him that infamous Halloween show in 1976 with Kiss, Florence Henderson, Betty White, Pinky from Happy Days teaching Paul how to Disco dance.
I want to go back to the 70s!

Coincidentally, I was watching this Studio 54 documentary I hadn't seen in years. I must say I'd love to have visited that club, though I was 11-14 yo at that time so technically I don't think they would have allowed me in.
