Rock N Roll Hall of Fame broadcast
Ok, is anyone else watching this tonight?
Just saw a montage of past inductions, which showed some guy named Mick speaking and some witch named Stevie thanking everyone for the honor. The broadcast is now showing Patti Smith's induction segment. |

Patti Smith is now performing the Rolling Stones "Gimme Shelter", cool
She even thanked the Stones for "writing great Anti-War songs" "I would like to thank Bruce Springsteen & Jimmy Iovine for this song"-Patti Smith, intro for "Because the Night" Last edited by estranged4life; 03-12-2007 at 09:08 PM.. |

I am watching it... but listening to music too...
I have TIVO rolling, so I can pick and choose what I want to watch. I did the montage... of Mick and Stevie when they got inducted... Cool.

Blah, whoever is doing the editing with the bleeper just let Patti Smith slip in the "N" word - Funny they bleep when she said "F**k" earlier.
Rev.Al "Picking my current topic outta a hat" Sharpton is now on...Paying homage to James Brown |

Ronnie Spector STILL has a great set of pipes, so I paid attention to the Ronettes induction (My Mom loved girl groups from the 60's)

We only get VH-1.
I remember there was some Christine thing on Classic, a couple of years ago, that I didn't get to see.

SO FREAKING CUTE. aklsdklassal;lasdl;. I totally cried when The Ronettes performed. Ronnie sounds so great. I love her.
And Patti was incredible. Her speech was very moving, brought me to tears. And her performance was great, too. That was the greatest version of "Rock N Roll Nigger" I've heard yet.

Yeah, so I cried for Patti's induction. Everything I love about her was on display just now, and it's just awesome that she's FINALLY in there.
I'm listening to 'Horses' in celebration. |
