Default References to Mac members in songs

Just thinking about references to pre-'75 Fleetwood Mac members in songs. Of course the most obvious one is "Rattlesnake Shake", with the reference to Mick. The only other one I can think of is a reference to Peter in the Clash's "Jail Guitar Doors" (An' I'll tell you 'bout Pete, didn't want no fame, gave all his money away......)

Are there more?

"These Strange Times" from the Time album. The lyrics are probably all written by Mick:
Quote:
These strange times I think of a friend
They said was a man of the world
When all the time he was in a fight
Between the dark and the light
Yes, I too, my friend, find the devil
Trying to make me do things I don't want to do
Now I find myself crying out
God is nowhere, God is nowhere

I seem to recall a song with the titile "Fleetwood Mac Chicken Shack John Mayall Can't Fail Blues" though I've never actually heard the song.

The reference to the song was in Martin Celmins' notes to "The Vaudeville Years" - the band was "The Liverpool Scene".
The track was on their third album, released in 1969 - they apparently started out as three poets, (like the Fugs, without the radical agenda) who, as their work was influenced by current pop music, decided to enlist musicians to take the next logical step and put the poetry to music -
They started in 1967 and DJ John Peel was an early supporter -
I've never heard the song either

I am not a Gary Moore fan at all....! But I think "Still Got The Blues" is a tribute to Peter. Also, on his album "Dark Days In Paradise" there is a song called "Business As Usual", that contains the line "Under the wings of the man they call Green I found freedom."

There's a reference to Peter in the old Irish standard "The Wearin' of the Greenbaum" sung by Judy Garland in "Little Nellie Kellie."

I'm not that much of a Gary Moore fan either, although I do think "Still Got The Blues" is o.k.
However I do appreciate his tribute album "Blues For Greeny". Besides a couple of nasty "own interpretations" he has does some good work on Peters material, better than Bernie Marsden did.

......uh maybe Dylan was thinking about Mick Fleetwood in "Don't Fall Apart On Me Tonight" from Infidels......

"What about that millionaire
with the drumsticks in his pants?
He looked so bewildered
when he played and we didn't dance"

These strange times I too have dreams
Things that make me wonder
If to walk a thin line is like dying alone
And I'm trying to find my way home
To where God is now here and the dark is now light
Yes I'm crying out, God is now here
God is now here and that was hell
Being caught between the dark and the light
Between the dark and the light
The red are obviously a Stevie Nicks references and the blue are obviously Lindsey Buckingham references.
