Way cool!

Something in the deep, dark corners of my mind wonders if Peter Green just might show up. Not necessarily to play, but even just as a spectator.

I read the website and it said that the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion would be there. I didn't see anything on Jeremy, though

It said so under the topic PROGRAM 2005. Sadly my Norwegian is not sufficient to understand the comments.

And, it's a drag that the BabelFish translator doesn't include Norwegian. Only Dutch & German of the Germanic languages.

hey cD! that's an interesting idea. i just went back and reviewed the pg forum posts from dansven and rojo about pete's appearance there last year with the uk blues allstars- hanging out with folk musicians and john mayall. if he showed and played... that would be something. duel slide!

it's low-key enough. dansven can you make the trip and report?

And about the written info at Notodden Blues Festival website:

It's just a short biography about Jeremy, plus that it says that he will do the same as Peter Green did: To launch his RETURN to music at Notodden Blues Festival.

Notodden August 1996 was on of the first gigs for Splinter Group after Peter's return. But does this mean that Jeremy is about to return to recording and touring?? I do hope so..

Here is another link - to the Norwegian TV channel NRK:

http://www.nrk.no/musikk/

Click on the photo for more info (in Norwegian I'm afraid)...

The article says that Jeremy visited the leaders of the festival recently at the club "Muddy Waters" in Oslo. The festival is in August.

Jeremy says that it feels a bit funny to play at Notodden. He says that he has recieved a lot of offers for various gigs, but that he follows his inner feelings. Then it usually turns out great.

His wife, Dorothy, points out that God is leading them on the right path.

Jeremy tells that he has been doing Christian charity work all over the world and never looked back. He has been writing children's books, painting and doing a gig now and then.

He also says that he prayed for the Mac members, "and after some bad years they became bigger than ever!"

He will be playing with the Norwegian band Tron Ytterbö Band at Notodden (never heard of them), and I understand form the articla that they performed "It Hurts Me Too" and "Medicine Blues" and the "Muddy Waters" club in Oslo.

Daniel, thanks for translating a bit of what the article said, I appreciate that. Jeremy really sounds like he's been happy in his life, and it's great that he managed to keep music such a part of it.

This is a stupid question but is there a song called Medicine Blues? or do they mean Madison Blues?

According to Terry Lehns, who posted on "the other board", he played "Madison Blues". With Jeremy's enunciation, I can see where someone with English as their second language would hear it differently.

Yeah, that's what I thought, too.

That **** owes me money. Seriously! I was doing monitors for them, and he insisted on jumping off stage, OVER my monitor console (I was on a lower level than the stage). He stepped on several knobs, and screwed up two channels. Sorry for the personal JSBE rant.

Yes, I did manage to video copy some clips (5 min) from Jeremy's appearance at the "Muddy Waters" club in Oslo. It was sent at Norwegian TV Tuesday and yesterday. The program shows Jeremy in great form playing at "Muddy Waters", and the clips was "It Hurts Me Too" and "MADISON Blues"
