Exactly. So why don't hand some of her poems over to Christine, let her write some basic melodies for it, let Chris hand the sketches over to Lindsey, let him fool around with them and then come to the studio to triowrite and finish them?

It may not be Stevie all over, but definately Fleetwood Mac. It's Basicly the same thing as Lindsey and Christine did.

And then we have a twelve song FM-album with two or three songwritingcredits per song on the sleeve. A Unique last dance.

I don't see this happening but it would make sense based on what has been done thus far. Stevie has nothing to loose but just gain handing over 3-4 songs and let the Fleetwood Mac magic happen. I still believe (with a few exceptions) her best crafted songs are with her band not solo.If she lets Lindsey do this one last time for her she will not have any regrets on the legacy of her Fleetwood Mac years.

It wasn't supposed to have any new songs on it. They were songs from "the vault". All old songs that never made it to FM or her solo records. That was the theme of the record.

Tell that to Tom Petty!

For someone who used to be a very prolific and powerful songwriter (love her or hate her for it), it must be difficult to come to terms with your skills not being what they used to be.
Sadly, I think this is precisely the case. And if it is, I can only imagine the frustration and defensiveness she must be feeling right now. She has never been an accomplished musician, but for years she distinguished herself as a fine vocalist with unusually strong and original songwriting ideas...

Fleetwood Mac has not released an album in over 13 years. Releasing a new album would be refreshing after three tours without an album.

I notice there is debate on Stevie's involvement and position in recording. I would like to see Stevie write and contribute new songs, and she her involved with Fleetwood Mac. Let her do her 24 Karat Gold tour with the Pretenders, then go full throttle into Fleetwood Mac in 2017.

In the meantime, Lindsey can use this time to finish up what he, Mick, John, and Christine have done so far. Fleetwood Mac or solo, Lindsey will be releasing an album in the future.

This thread is so amusing. People using bold print, CAPITAL LETTERS, and final statements like "case closed" to indicate that they know the absolute truth about what is going to happen (and of course, the rest of us are just delusional).

I have no idea what is going to happen, but I can tell you what I want to happen. I want Mick, John, Christine, and Lindsey to put out an album as Fleetwood Mac, and I want them to put it out soon.

And Christine just mentioned that very thing in RS.

I don't see it happening. Stevie's tour is only through the end of this year. I can't see her not joining them in 2017 to contribute to this album.

I can see her not doing it. She's been not doing it for 13 years.

She already does by not participating. I bet Lindsey is working for months this year on new ideas and sketches from Christine to prepare recordingsessions with Chris.

Let's just hope all the upcoming solo shows are half filled and she realizes she needs Fleetwood Mac.

I'll be doing my part, by not purchasing a ticket!
