LOL!

It's not mailed out yet - and I am going to make my boyfriend take it in, just in case. Fear not.

The H1N1 or seasonal flu vaccine? It's my understanding that the H1N1 is not being considered right now for healthy people between the ages of 25 and 64.

Geez, its been a year now- can we stop referring to it as the "swine flu"? I mean, the virus (said "swine flu") isn't even the same as when the moniker for it was first given. Its H1N1. And unless you're pregnant or 65+, you're insane/think way too highly of yourself if you think you need a vaccination for it. Its called Purell & Vitamin C.

All I know is that in past years when I would get a flu shot, it made me sick every time. It’s such a yucky and gross feeling that I finally stopped getting one. It does scare me that I may catch a flu but, something told me to stop getting the shot. I read somewhere that 41% of Americans are not getting the shot for similar reasons – that number can’t be ignored. I have my Lysol, my disenfective wipes, and I’m taking my vitamins every day – hopefully that will work. I haven’t been sick in a few years so …

i haven't gotten the hini either, for the reasons you say~ several places that i have wrked have offered the regular flu shot free throughout the years & i would always take advantage of it~ i ALWAYS regretted it, i would get sicker than if i didn't get the shot~ once it was so bad i was out of wrk for 5 days, & i never miss time~ i literally couldn't get up or sit up, the shot screwed me up so badly~

when i asked the DR about it, he said it had something to do w/ the shots being egg based & i have sadly over the years acquired an alergy to eggs~ i can eat them if they are baked in something, deviled or hard boiled~ but not scrambled, fried, omelet, & even now i heartbreakingly found out french toast~ the dipping of the bread in the egg is just too much for me~ i get so horribly sick if i even taste a tiny bit of the scrambled eggs i make my son~ i am in severe abdominal pain for 24 hours, & i'm talking the tiniest of bites, not even close to being a forkful~

so this gives to my fear of the h1ni, my DR told me it is also egg based~ & i am scared to death of getting a shot~ i have just been super diligent in washing our hands lysoling & the clorox anywhere that jannie mentioned, seeing as i have a kid & run a daycare~

I understand what you're saying, but there are serious side effects in some people when they take vaccines, including fatal ones. I'll be honest that I don't know for a fact that it's in all vaccines, but it's definitely high enough that in my honest opinion the health professionals are acting very, very unethically when they say that there's "no" risk. They're just plain lying.
It's an established scientific fact that there's serious side effects in some people from vaccines, including, like I said, occasional fatalities. The age or current health of the person doesn't seem to be important; the side effects are "equal-opportunity employers."
People have a right to have all the information before they make a decision that could permanently affect their health; and I feel that the health professionals have a responsibility to make sure they get that information.

Everyone is entitled to make their own decisions. All I ask is that you please stay the eff home if you are sick.

Nice. You are aware that there are other groups that are considered at priority, right? Maybe you should check out the correct info on this before making such condescending statements.

I got the H1N1. Why? Because I am the primary caretaker for my two month old daughter, who has limited immunity to any illness at this age. I DID IT FOR HER. Not because I am insane or think "way too highly of myself".
