I agree. Winds of Change I Do Nothing Without You......are all high on my list as fav FM songs. |
I actually liked Billy's songs, too. Well, he really didn't have his own songs, as his were both duets with Bekka. "Talkin' To My Heart" ALWAYS makes me smile. Too bad there wasn't a Billy-Christine duet, as I LOVE how they sound together. Actually, I almost wish they would have redone "It Ain't Over" from Billy's "Try Me" album, as their voices on that were breathtaking. I have half a notion of putting that on my mp3 site.

I think that the "Time Album" was not a great album but I t had it's moments. Bekka had some good songs on it. I think if it had been given the chance it could have done better.

Apparently, from what I've read, Dave Mason (who had been living in Mick's "guest house" at the time) hounded Mick until he relented and let him in the band. Why Mick didn't even bother to ask Todd Sharp just boggles my mind...he's a fantastic guitarist, he's a singer/songwriter, he went to Africa with Mick for The Visitor, he'd played in The Zoo, on Christine's album & tour (wrote "I'm The One" for her), and was with Bob Welch's band from 1978-81. He basically WAS a logical choice...but according to his Q&A here, Mick never asked. |

Cop-out theory: Mick probably "considered" Todd in his own mind, but never made the phone call. |
