Fleetwood Mac 1968 clippings

Here is some of the coverage given our favorite blues-rock outfit in the excellent Beat Instrumental monthly magazine. Peter began a regular column staring in the September issue (I will try to get the first four of these uploaded soon).

Thanks for posting these, becca!

Thank you, these are great!

Peter's columns are quite entertaining, but as I say I only have the first four as my collection of magazines ends at 1968 (so far anyway). I have them scanned and just have to get them loaded up.

I have the original Melody Maker review of Then Play On, with song by song descriptions. I'll take a pic of it and post it soon!

Great stuff, becca - thanks! I'd love to see more of these old magazine article posts, and looking forward to LesPaul7's post of the Then Play On review.

I tried to post them, but it says the jpg is too large. I'm not really sure how to compress an image?

becca 05-07-2013 12:59 PM

I don't know how that works as I upload to a photobucket account and then insert them here, just trying to keep the width suitable enough for a regular PC monitor, (they probably only show a tiny part on a smart phone screen).

LesPaul7 - you should be able to use any image-editing software (Photoshop or something more basic) to decrease the size of your image to less than 100KB. Often the software that comes with a camera or scanner can do that. Or you could re-photograph or re-scan at a lower resolution.

It would be nice if we could post files a bit larger than the current 100KB limit. Of course the limit should not be too large since that would really slow down loading some pages, but maybe 200KB could work? That would allow more flexibility in what files we could attach. At least one other web forum I visit allows you to re-size images down to an acceptable size when you attach the image, but the software for this forum may not have that capability.

Oh. I thought maybe they hosted images here now and I didn't know about it. I guess I just happened to be under the limit without trying to be. :o

The size limit is for attached images (and its a real pain !with my version of photoshop(LE) you can of course make them smaller but it just has a slider saying larger at one end and smaller at the other so you have to guess at the end result !!) I'm guessing that if its inserted in the text like Becca has done, there isnt a restriction So can someone tell me how to insert imges within the text please ?

I clicked the little jeeblie-deeblie at the top of the reply box with mountains and a sun. :woohoo:

Sorry, I've had trouble figuring this out. Anyway if somebody wants to PM me their email I can send the pictures and they can post them for the board.
