One year ago today...

One year ago today, we lost the heart and soul of FM. It still feels like a bad dream. :(

I remember exactly where I was when I found out. I always will remember.

I remember being at work and not believing what a friend had told me. SO much could have come from Fleetwood Mac as in recordings from 2018 on.

Message from Mick:
"Dear Chris, a year ago today you flew away, and memories come flooding back ❤️ Too many to mention! I miss you .. Fleetwood Mac misses you... along with so many that loved your music ❤️. Always love, Mick Fleetwood"

If Mick said Fleetwood Mac misses you, let's see who makes posts today.

I worked at home so I had time to check news often. But that day I didn't cause I had several zoom meetings. It was my friend from Texas who told me by Whspp, and I said WHAT???!!! I hoped it was a fake new, but it wasn't.

Very seriously, it's as close as I've ever come to fainting. I was at work and all the blood left my head. I was sick for about an hour before my body recovered.

I've never played her music more in my life than the last year.

This is what Jimmy Paxson(drummer for Buckvie, Stevie, Lindsey, and Dixie Chicks) wrote just now.
Jimmy Paxson

Remembering Chris one year after her passing (which for some unexplainable reason (to me) seems like lifetimes ago). Hard to believe she is physically gone. Not only was it a TOTAL honor to play music with her - it was also a total honor to spend time in her presence, to feel her humorous fast wit, to feel her kind and compassionate heart (which truly was like no other) and to hear her constant subtle outflowing of affirmations to remind you that you mattered. The world could use more Christine McVie’s who truly was and always will be a one of a kind. All praise “Christine ****ing McVie” I love you beyond. #somgbird(sic)

Well, THAT is a tribute. God, I miss her. I wanted her to be the last one standing. I wanted her to continue writing songs...I am so glad to have what she gave us.

I read this as "I was sick for an hour before they recovered my body."

Yes. Nice to think that many of us have been on the same musical journey of sorts this past year.

I cried so much for her this past year, I really did. just seeing certain videos, or certain pictures of her would make me tear up. she had such a wonderful last decade, and seemed so happy in everything she did. and i cried not just for her passing but for John also... that had to have been such a staggering loss. I'd like to think at least they had time to say everything they needed to say, and I hope sometimes he can still feel her energy around him.

It still seems surreal.

How blessed we were to have had the Christine McVie most of us knew and loved come back for another five years of performing and an album. The Dance was no way for Christine F*CKING McVie to go out!

That Christine’s final performance was singing and playing “Stop Messin’ Round,” the first song to feature the Fleetwood-McVie-McVie groove, happy as ever, was a much more fitting farewell.
