Bob Welch - Black Dog

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, or if anyone has seen this on iTunes, but there is a Bob Welch single of Led Zeppelin's Black Dog?

This is a rehearsal "monitor mix" of one of my bands fooling around (for FUN) with Led Zeppelin's famous song, Black Dog , which I consider to be among the best "hard" rock songs ever... I thought some people might like to hear a really "rough" , casual performance like this.......That's why I called this "review", "Rehearsal On Tape.......;-)

Bob Welch
ex-Fleetwood Mac/Capitol Records solo artist

Yeah this is the same one I think (I never look at Amazon for music as you can't download it if you live in Australia). Pretty good for a rehearsal!

If you listen to "Religion" off the first Paris album, it'll immediately stand out as being based on LZ's "Black Dog". Which in itself was based on Peter Green's "Oh Well". (both Page & Plant have been on record as admitting that).

Also, on Bob's own website, he has a free downloadable version of "Black Dog" as done by Paris.

.

Which leads to my conclusion that Oh Well is the best "hard" rock song ever.

Oh Well

I think Peter Green was a genius, as well as "Oh, Well" . Bob would always play it at the end of his shows because he loved it so much. He also got to perform it more often than Peter. But Bob so admired him.
