Default Least Favorite Lindsey Song from '75 Fleetwood Mac

Time to vote for your least favorite Lindsey song from the white album.

Blue Letter; I'm So Afraid; Monday Morning

How do you feel about FM doing "Blue Letter" instead of a song written by a Mac member?

I still can't decide what to vote for, because I love them all. Lindsey is my favourite member of the band, and I love the darkness as well as childlike hopefulness that he puts into his songs. Some of them may be downright annoying one moment, then suddenly your favourite the next. For example, and entirely unrelated; when I first heard Johnny Stew, I thought he had lost in mind. Especially considering the caveman growling. Now I think the entire equation is a work of genius and it's up with my favourites. I don't want to choose. Somebody do that for me lol.

I actually love all LB's but it had to be Blue Letter, the other 2 just pipped it.

It's better live.

I like them all. In the end, I chose Blue Letter as my least favorite.

Perfect post.

I can't vote here because each of these songs on this album is precious to me in different ways, even the original ISA (versus the iconic live one we've all come to know as definitive).

I'm So Afraid

It's much better live. He sounds like a wussy on the album version.

Again, I have to go "none of the above".

Granted, "I'm So Afraid" was, even admitted by Lindsey, recorded in the wrong key...which is why it sounds like it does compared to the live versions...as soon as they got on the road he dropped it a whole step (From Gm to Fm)...if I'm not mistaken, he's even dropped it another half-step down to Em since The Dance. But, can't ever call the original studio version my "Least Favorite" due to my initial reaction to the song upon first listen (see Christine McVie thread here for that story).

"Blue Letter" is the only song on the album that just downright straight ahead ROCKS...and listen to that John McVie tear it up on bass. Probably why they chose to do it, since the album was lacking that type of song from the band's own writers. But, at this point, despite it being written by somebody outside of the band, the song is pretty much their own...even the Curtis Bros own version of the song pales horribly by comparison.

If any of the three songs actually come close to being my least favorite it's "Monday Morning"...but, that's just my own bias against the song because it was the song that bumped "Station Man" out of the live set. Never really forgave them for that. But, that's out of context with the album track, so can't say "least favorite" because of that, I DO like the song.

Blue letter.....Fun song, The other two are stronger though. Also minus points for not writing it.

Had to vote for Blue Letter only because Lindsey did not write it. These three songs are all great songs.

Monday Morning... complete and absolute rubbish imo Blue Letter is awesome, and I love the studio I'm So Afraid even though the solos are better live.

I'm So Afraid, by far. The live versions are atrocious, with the loud, overblown guitar solos. Blech.
