Default Would ever Peter Green return with FM?

Hi all,
this is my first post in this forum, but a thread in Stevie forum made me wonder about something, I apologize in advance if this has been discussed before or if the question is totally silly. In your opinion if Stevie and Lindsey left FM, the band would take again the 'pure blues' road? And in that case, would ever Peter Green return?
I'm asking because thanks to a friend, I'm listening to a lot of Peter Green and John Mayall recently, and they're magnificent, so I'm curious.

I would love it, but I doubt it as Mick has trried to get him deals before, etc. and Peter turned them down. This, of course, is Mick's version and we do not know Peter's other than there has been no ruinion - though he did go to the R&R HOF induction ceremony though, sadly, he did not play.

I didn't know he went to R&R HOF, is it known the reason why he didn't play?

He played with Santana on "Black Magic Woman."

(Oh, to see the above group of people together in concert...)

Yes, it would be so great! And thanks for the photo, I had seen till now only the "without Peter" version.

If they went a "pure blues" road again, I think Peter MIGHT return, but it would have to be on Peter's terms and be very low profile. If Mick (and to a lesser extent, John) wanted a higher profile Fleetwood Mac Blues Band project, they'd have a better chance of getting Rick Vito back, than Peter.

Just in case it happened (in life you never know...) , I hope in a compromise that would bring Peter back. He's a living legend and I'd like so much to hear him play with John... and Mick.

With the way that both Peter & Jeremy have been playing lately, it would be great to hear the ORIGINAL (well, with John instead of Bob Brunning, that is) Fleetwood Mac circa 2005/6

Heck chiliD, I don't think you need to qualify John over Bob B. Bob B. was just a temporary member, and even he doesn't really consider himself to be a member of the group. In any event, it could be argued that the recordings they made as a trio when they were with Mayall were the first Mac recordings, which would make McVie an original member.

Ohhhhhhhkay....Yeah, when you look at it that way, it gives John McVie "original member" status, but then that negates Jeremy Spencer as being an "original member", though. So?
