As a matter of fact in LL you can almost see it being painted the way they sort of visually watercolor in the very Impressionistic scenes of the video.
According to some research I did, if you look at the paintings in Chris' room near the end of the Hold Me video, they're paintings by a French artist named Magritte. If you look him up and see a gallery of his paintings, you might recognize a few.

As for Little Lies, love the watercolor effects! I think it's a homage to Henri Rossueau, the same artist whose painting was "remade" for the album cover. Since, Rossueau is an Impressionist, if my art history knowledge serves me right, that might explain the effects on the video. My theory on LL here is just a guess.

Hope this helps!

God bless!

Ah, thank you LittleLies7 for providing the art history literacy I was lacking when I described the paintings. Hold Me is definately based on the painting-if I remember right it had shards of mirrors sticking up from the sand w/ reflections of things like horses w/ green polka dots, etc. and it tied in perfectly w/ the album title Mirage. LL doesn't look so much like a Rossueau to me as it does a Monet (which wasn't watercolor but definately impressionistic, just as the video seems to me.) The clothing they wear in LL video and it's style also seems similar to clothes from the Impressionistic Era (sans the big-hair perm Stevie's sportin' in that video!)

You're more than welcome, ricohv!

BTW, that's a good point about Monet.
