Whose voice is that in the intros?
I always wondered who is the guy who says Ladies & Gentlemen... please... Welcome Fleetwood Mac, in the 70s concerts, since the first time I heard him at the Live 1980 album before Monday Morning. But he is also in Intro at Rumours Expanded 35th anniv., Intro (Live At Wembley, 6/26/80) at Tusk Deluxe, and some bootlegs shared in the past.
Not sure if it's the same voice at the deluxe white album (Get Like You Used To Be -Live at Capitol Theatre, Passaic, NJ, 10/17/1975), but I think it is. Does anybody know who is? It doesn't sound like Lindsey.

John Courage, I've always believed.

I believe John Courage also managed Christine and also introduced her on her solo tour.
The vocal introduction sure sounds like the 1980 live album here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnK2lhGglxU&t=349s

JC on all those recordings. But nobody seems to know who introduced on the 1982 tour.

Yes, tour manager John Courage is the intro voice.
Wasn't John Courage also in charge of handing out all of those bottlecaps full of cocaine to the band before they took the stage? I think I read this in Mick's book. His introductions were certainly full of high energy and enthusiasm! |

He accepted me as a Facebook friend, and he even commented on a few of my posts. It was an honor, exchanging comments with him. RIP, Colonel.

It makes sense it was John Courage until the Tusk tour. He was fired by the band's lawyers right after that meeting I described in another post, where they questioned the low income of the tour.

I chatted with him a few times on FB also and he told me that intro voice was his. I told him I always thought it was Mick Fleetwood.

Courage introduced all the way through the 1980 tour.
But who introduced in 1982? Maybe that’s a question for the Elevator Game — to anyone with a still-intact brain. Richard or Ken maybe? Somebody could post the audio of a 1982 intro (“Let’s give a monstrous welcome . . .”) to Lindsey’s Instagram and ask him to ID the voice.

Was he on stage introducing the band? Or was it king of a voice-over?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KkZK1pZLgc Back in those days, the crew used to finish their setup with Mike Oldfield’s “Tubular Bells” music (the theme from The Exorcist) playing across the arena. It was very eerie. That’s how we always knew that Mac would take the stage in about ten minutes.

Did Stevie ever come out and talk in tongues and do a reverse spider walk across the stage during Tubular Bells? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLbFbc0cA10

I don’t recall. But she did do a Pazuzu dance for “Rhiannon” a couple of times, until the local authorities shut it down.
