I was lucky enough to get a Model 1 back in 2002. For those who are interested, Lindsey is really a Strat/Tele guy, who wanted a sound in Fmac that could articulate like those guitars but had the power of a Les Paul. It really does exactly that and everything in between. Rick and his guys would answer emails super quickly; seemed like a person who loved we he did. A real artist. I'll think of the great innovations he brought to music often.

FWIW, so does a Tele with a low power neck humbucker (think Seymour Duncan Seth Lover), a high power bridge pickup (think Seymour Duncan Broadcaster, which is nothing like an actual Broadcaster pickup, BTW), and a .003uF ceramic disc tone cap through a good compressor (I adore my Janglebox). If you want to have that kind of sound on a sensible budget, especially now, that’s my suggestion.

ETA: Brass saddles, too.

That’s a pretty cool suggestion, I’ll check that out. The Turner pickup is really unique in that it is super dynamic but very hot. Every note that Lindsey plays is heard. No hiding any mistakes! Just a great guitar. He will be missed.
