Good for Lindsey.
I gotta say, though, that the Raconteurs release was GREAT!

Don't get me wrong I liked The Raconteurs album, I just didn't think it was anyway near the album of the year But Jack White and Brendan Benson are two cool dudes for sure.
I shall post the rest of the list soon!

the archie bronson outfit kicks ass! cool that they are so high on the list.
I love the raconteurs-album-certainly the best one of the top ten in my opinion...
But I'd place the new Cracker and the new Golden Smog, along with Primal Scream and Lindsey's above it. Is wolfmother from 05? I thought it was brought out outside Australia in 06...in that case that one would be in my top five too....

By the way sharon, did you manage to post the lindsey-uncut-review yet and I missed it?

I was disappointed by Broken Boy Soldiers, just because I'm such a big fan of White and Benson, and Steady As She Goes was such an awesome first single. I just thought the album was patchy and didn't live up to the talent involved. Still it was great to see Jack wear colours other than black, white and red.
Neko Case and The Twilight Singers would definitely be top five for me.

I didn't, sorry Gerald. I had the mag on my desk at work and I can't find it. I'll look again tomorrow for it but I think someone has pinched it.

Hmm, staedy as she goes is the weakest track of the album for me...but I agree that it doesn't fit with the rest...

No prob about the review, I'll get it from somewhere...

in regards to...100 Great Undiscovered Tracks Of 2006

11. Regina Spektor – Fidelity
Hit single all over it

14. Lambchop – Paperback Bible
Disturbingly amusing...

16. Michael Stipe Ft. Joseph Arthur – In The Sun
Makes me cry

19. Morrissey – Life Is A Pigsty
I saw this live before the CD was released and it gave me goosebumps then.
Love this song but I've never been crazy about the ending

40. Lilly Allen – Knock ‘Em Out
I am all about Lilly Allen!

48. Bruce Springsteen – Froggie Went A-Courtin’
I'm usually not a big Springsteen fan, but this CD was amazing

54. Thom Yorke – Cymbal Rush
A haunting CD...stays with you...I love it...

60. The Walkman – Louisiana
I absolutely LOVE this song...

68. Camera Obscura – Lloyd, I’m Ready To Be Heartbroken
GORGEOUS! If we could all only be as pretty as a Camera Obscura song...

90. The Raconteurs – Intimate Secretary
Quite possibly my favorite song this year. Just love it...when I saw them this summer, they opened with this track and I was blown away.
