Jimmy Boskill's Rattlesnake Shake
This is an excerpt from an article about a 17 year old kid.
From the Rocky Mountain Outlook: http://www.albertalocalnews.com/rock.../17960519.html His latest, Jimmy Boskill, hit the airwaves just a month ago and three days later he was on the road. The latest album furthers his slide from pure blues into a rockier sound, still firmly anchored in the blues. All but one of the songs he wrote himself, with the exception being Rattle Snake Shake, an old Fleetwood Mac tune from the early, early Peter Green years. "You've heard of Fleetwood Mac?" he asked in all innocence. Boskill still carries the voice of a very young man, not the gravelly rasp one usually associated with seasoned blues singers, but the power is evident and the control amazing. "Having an old grizzly voice is a bit of a stereotype. I think I sound more like B.B. King from the '40s, when he was my age. He sounds like a kid, but to me that's his best era," Boskill said. In addition to touring, these days he's finishing up his Grade 12 at Peterborough Collegiate and Vocational School, a high school with an integrated arts program focused on drama, music and visual arts. He fits his studies around his touring and recording schedule. "My teachers really help me out," he said. His family, too. "We're a pretty tight family - everyone's pretty supportive." Despite his early success, Boskill said he's still pretty much an average Canadian teen, hanging out with his friends - most of them musicians as well - and keeping his feet firmly on the ground. "It can't really go to your head - there's nothing to be really too egotistical about." |

I don't like referring to the male member as a rattlesnake.
It's tacky.

So, "tusk" is an improvement?
We COULD just use ZZ Top's term: Tubesnake. Me thinks you're just jealous, David.

Most men are very sensitive about this kind of needless objectification.
When I was growing up, we were taught to say "teepot." I think that would be more respectful. Something like, Teepot Bop . . . Michele |

It should be referred to as the "perpendicularity" in polite society.

Among my family, it's known as the ba-donk-a-donk, the Petit Jesu (or the Agnus Dei), & the he-ham.
