Don Henley apparently let it slip that Glenn Frey's son is filling in for Glenn. I hope this means they'll play Glenn's songs.

I've never seen the Doobie Brothers live, I was hoping for Michael McDonald, but it's Tom Johnston. Has anyone seen them live recently with Tom Johnston, do they still play any Michael McDonald songs?

I SERIOUSLY doubt they'd do any of Michael's songs. No one can sound like that!

oddly enough I'm rather liking her hair in this photo-- it looks more natural, less stiffly teased out than in all the publicity photos.

No and no! Absolutely NO!!!
She looks fine. She had something done in the late 80s and I'm very glad that she stopped messing around with her face after that. She IS over 70, let her own that, as it is, she is doing a really good job with it anyway. |

I had pretty much given up on getting tix to the East show, when I did my usual every-few-days check in on Ticketmaster late Sat nite. I was shocked to find single-day floor seats for $99 available. I got 4 floor seats for both nights for under $1,000 total, even with TM's ridiculous fees. I know that's crazy money, but I'm a big fan of at least 4 of the bands, and kinda enjoy the other two... so I'm psyched!
Anyone else here going? If you're still interested, now would be a good time to jump on TM... Last edited by BlanketMan; 06-25-2017 at 08:02 AM.. |

I like that the west coast shows are before ours, so we'll know what the set lists will look like. Gotta think all the bands are going to stick to their "greatest hits" for both shows. Assuming the Mac does 12-15 songs, what will they be? The no-brainers: Rhiannon Say You Love Me Go Your Own Way Dreams Don't Stop You Make Loving Fun The Chain The almost shoo-ins: Landslide Little Lies Gypsy Gold Dust Woman My guesses for the rest: Second Hand News I'm So Afraid Tusk Big Love Never Going Back Again |
