If SYW is considered "Post-Rumours," then Heroes Are Hard to Find should be considered "Post-Pre-Rumours." If we are going to apply one standard to SYW, the same standard has to be applied to the other album that fits into the same category.

Obviously you know where I stand on this very serious issue.

Well that would just totally mess up everything, because FM, pre White album, had nothing to do with Buckingham Nicks.

Christine's tiny cameo's on SYW, don't really constitute her being a real part of the album. I think if you really examine what the categories are intended to be, SYW has to be Post-Tumours.

Trying to classify this album made my head hurt after a while. so I just put down who the hell cares

However, I do agree with holidayroad's logic though

I did, and quite honestly, some parts left me very confused. My proposition goes like this: early blues days (1967-1970), transitional years (1970-1974), Buckingham-Nicks years (1975-1987), Behind the Mask era (1990-1995, but maybe you could think of a better name for it), and present day (1997-present), and artist forums as they already are, another forum for exchanging and requesting vids and MP3s, and Chit Chat

Yes, of course. Because if you squint really hard he's on the cover of Say You Will wearing a blond wig with a red plastic cup in his hand.

To me, I consider it Rumours era for a couple of reasons. But only by the skin of it's teeth.

1) It has 4 of the 5 Rumours era members.

2) More importantly, there are no replacement members to fill in for Christine.

Though Behind The Mask contained 4 of the 5 Rumours members, it had replacement members... which placed it in a thoroughly different category in my eyes. Fleetwood Mac is definitely different without Christine, without a doubt. But I find it considerably less different than the Behind The Mask era.

Look at Fleetwood Mac like a glass of water. If part of the water evaporates, it's still water. But if you add a packet of Kool Aid, it's no longer water .

Oh great. Now I can see somebody making a poll for what flavour Kool Aid say, Billy Burnette, was if that is the case. It won't be me lol. And I say Grape.

which songs did Brett write? which songs does he sing as the main vocalist? maybe it would help if you look at the eras as not about all different backing musicians, but about songwriters in the band?

i did read your suggested list (and many other suggestions in this thread) and i suddenly have newfound appreciation for division that is currently in place

although i still wouldn't change my vote from who cares.

Are you sure about that????

It's been quite some time, since I've pulled SYW out, and probably since it was released, since I've read the liner notes, but I think you're wrong...
