Is it bad that I bought this book when it first came out, read it, and loved it. I felt like I was reading one of those trashy supermarket novels that I consider myself to intellectual for (yet still love). I take it with a grain of salt, but really loved the book. Its poorly written and really trashy, but hey it appeals to the cheap side of me

Is this one yellow? If so, I have it. I've only glanced through it a couple of times. I found it dirt cheap, in a used bookstore.

^ Yeah me too! It just got to a cool bit at Eric Claptons mansion!
I actually enjoyed reading it! It is badly written and CAH seems to just be this innocent victom in the midst of it all. Maybe she was, I did feel quite sorry for her having to take coke to fit in with everybody just because she was "Lindsey's girl". I also found it amusing how much of a little bitch Stevie was depicted as.. but actually, I wouldn't be surprised if she WAS like that, as much as I love her. Might have to get myself a copy! |

I'm going to have to read this again when I get home for summer! I really enjoyed it first time round, though she's not the most enchanting of narrators..

Was it just me, or did CAH seem to be a huge Stevie fan? I mean, I know she talked some **** about Stevie, but she talked a lot about Stevie and seemed to worship her in a sense. I just imagine CAH writing the book thinking, "God, I hope Stevie reads this and befriends me!!"

Personally, i enjoyed the way it was written. Not your normal biographical book. Moreso like a fanfiction, where i could feel emotions and such. I really wanted to be in CAH's position in certain parts...Teehee

Lol. I'm pretty sure that, anywhere there was a Lindsey/Carol Ann moment, you wanted to be her -- minus the Stevie bitch moments lol

It's a poorly writtem book, regardless of whether its truth or fiction. I got as far as the Rumours section I think, shortly after the band meet up with Eric Clapton for a drunken evening I think?? By that stage it was getting tiresome in its detail and emptyness. It wasnt telling me anything, felt like reading a dull diary.
Maybe I gave up too soon?? Not sure. I dont really feel inclined to return to the book. For the record I bought it cheap, £3 in a Fopp record shop, so no real loss to my wallet. Just pained to have spent so much time trying to read a very dull persons writings. |

I'll be honest: I found it to be very poorly written, full of plot holes, and very biased towards her, not to mention that 75% of it didn't feel that quite truthful, but it was hilarious.
