Actually it does seem something peculiar to Stevie fans. Sure there are lots of people who think that Lindsey was a great guitarist, and were sad to see him leave, but Billy, Rick and even Dave Mason didn't seem to be on the receiving end of the same level of negativity that Bekka had aimed at her.

I would understand if Bekka couldn't sing or they tried to pass her off as Stevie (say like Elmer Gantry) but other than a passing nod to Stevie in terms of performing a couple of her songs, it was very much a new incarnation of the band.

Look I love Ms Nicks, I really do. Her voice started me on this amazing journey through Fleetwood Mac 15 years ago. However, it must be said that Stevie Nicks = 1/16 of Fleetwood Mac.

That's because the other members of FM, tend to have SANE fans, and the other members didn't have to step into "those shoes"(or whatever footwear is goat appropriate).

And that's the crazy, IGNORANT part of their "Bekka sucks" stance- I went to Time, pre-internet(for me, anyway), not knowing what, or who, to expect. And while I was disappointed that Chris wasn't there,.......know what? Bekka won me as a fan, that evening. She sang Dreaming the Dream, and I was blown away. "Wow, this girl's amazing!". But being open-minded, is the last thing, a certain member's fans, will be accused of being.

1/16th. Tru dat!

Well you can't really group all of Stevie's fans in that close-minded group. I am a huge Stevie fan, and I wouldn't say that Bekka sucks at all because I actually loved her. She got me with her vocals on Blow by Blow (love that song btw).

i'm agreeing a hundred percent, but unfortunately, to casual fans and to random people, if you say Fleetwood Mac, they're immediately gonna associate Stevie Nicks because she was most successful solo out of everyone else...

Yup, which is a shame, Go Insane and Chris' second eponymous were so much better... and diverse... than anything Stevie's done solo... IMO

You know, that's so funny. I was listening to Time the other day, for the first time in ages, giving it a second chance, and Blow By Blow was the song that first made me think "wow!" about Bekka. She has one heck of a voice on her xD
