I've heard the album 4 or 5 times now and it's really not growing on me. It's just kinda there. The songs are all pleasant enough, but nothing special. Several songs (specifically Lindsey's songs) that don't sound like much of a collaboration. Lindsey seems to be holding back with his guitar playing on this album. The live performances haven't been very impressive either with way too much help from prerecorded tracks and Christine not doing a whole lot. I'm a wee bit disappointed in the whole thing. But oh well. Maybe it'll grow on me yet or maybe not. Life goes on.

Old Stevie's bible length songs wouldn't stand a chance now.

See? This is why Stevie didn't want to be part of this album! Mystery solved!

no booklet...
does anyone know why they didn't include some liner notes and lyrics? my theory is that they realized just how embarrassing some of these lyrics are...hahaha

So it looks like Christine spent about 3 months in the studio. Also this album is not over produced in my opinion at all. Some tracks I actually want more of the Lindsey studio magic. So there goes Stevie's complaints about "endless overdubs" and "a year in the studio".. You missed out Stevie!

Well, I have listened to the singles and the clips of the rest. I will buy Christine's tracks, I think, but not the whole thing.

Good to see the the same 2 people keep coming back to state that after 2 listens, 5 listens, 10 listens they don't like the album. Then the Stevie board regulars quote it, so they can keep their negative narrative going....
