Once in an open-air market in New Orleans, SYLM started playing over the speakers and I saw people of very different ages and backgrounds singing along. It was a magic moment. “I got goose flesh.”

Christine's songs have this energy that's hard to explain.

They do, particularly SYLM and OMH for me. It's like there's a certain restrained emotion. I don't get all verklempt over Songbird, but there's a certain depth underlying even her hooky songs that pulls at me.

I’m scared of feeling this way.

SYLM always excites me. The backing track is catchy and well-executed, but it's her voice, the pure joy of that low alto, and then the way the three voices mix in the chorus. I can hear that song 100x in a row and never get tired of it.

I enjoy "Songbird" as an earthy, direct address, a kind of homely and naked appeal to a lover whose beloved has seen her in the morning without makeup and still loves her for her unaffected beauty. But I do NOT consider the song an intense tear-jerker. "Why" and "Oh Daddy" are the weepers.

Heard As Long As You Follow in the grocery store this morning.

One of the most underrated songs in history

I had SO much hope for the new band with Billie & Rick when I heard this! And I agree, it's a beautiful, lush song. Sadly, we got the poorly produced dreck that followed.

I don't think I liked it as much then as I do now. It's such a beautiful song.

I even loved the video of them in a hotel and the couple playing around in the other building. I never could understand why MTV never played the video. Had to go to VH1 to see it. They played all kinds of adult contemporary Janet Jackson and other stuff but a soft song from a classic rock band.....nope. They played the hell out of Save Me and then dropped the band again for Skies The Limit. Had to go to VH1 again. Made no sense and it hurt promoting the band.
