![]() The year was 1987...the album was Tango In The Night....my brother bought it and it was the first album I ever listened to from beginning of side 1 straight through to end of side 2...and I loved every second of it..!!! And then shortly after I saw the video for Big Love and I was like........wooooaaahhh....."that bit where they start moving backwards must have taken forever to shoot !!!"............I was FIVE years old !!!!
![]() (I was also under the impression that the younger looking guy with the eraser hair style and the long black coat on the inside cover was called "Steve".....and the girl with the boots and the big blonde hair is called "Lindsey"....) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() The radio got me into the Mac. The very first song I ever heard by them.. I was 5 years old and I was in the kitchen with my mom and Dreams came on the radio. I will never forget it.. I really liked that song and the voice sounded nice too! Soon after that, my mom went out and bought me the single of Dreams (with Songbird on the other side) because it became my favorite song and she would always play it for me! I still have it too!

![]() Thank God for National Lampoons Vacation!! LOL I heard Lindsey's "Holiday Road" and "Dancin Across the USA" and memories rushed back from when I saw the movie as a kid. Last March, I did some net research to find out his work, his solo stuff led me to the Mac and that is how it all happened, boys and girls.
![]() ![]() ![]() Of course, I grew up listening to the Mac without knowing it was them, hearing Rhiannon, Dreams, Don't Stop, etc...when I found out who it was that was WAY COOL!! BTW, I heard Dreams on the radio as soon as I got in the car on the way home from work!! ![]() ![]()

![]() I used to listen to FM when I was little, my mum always reminds me of how when i was about 5 i used to listen to Rhiannon all the time. But it really started in 1997 after the Dance tour, i saw it on TV with my parents and Dad said he would lke to buy the album. He didn't buy it so when Chistmas came around I bought it for him but after 1 day I think it made its way to my cd collection. I then became obsessed and when we had a garage sale to get ride of alot of stuff when we moved i found alot of my parents LP's (i also went through a brrief Sion and Garfunkel stage) they had Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, Tusk, and Tango.
have been hooked ever since.

![]() The year was 1982, and though I had heard the mac before, I fell in love with the band after watching the Gypsy video. Simultaneously the Bella Donna videos were on air and me and all my friends (I was 16!) were in love with Stevie. Great those days. The 80s rocked!!!!!

![]() My older brothers were constantly playing "Rumours" during the summer of 1977. I remember hanging out with my brother's band and singing (attempting, really- I was only eight at the time) the cascading harmony parts from "You Make Loving Fun". From that point on I was hooked!
When FM came to the Forum in LA in 1979 for the "Tusk" tour, my brothers went and took me along for the ride- very cool for a ten year old!! I've been a devoted fan ever since.... |

![]() Sometime in 1983 (I remember I was 12) when HBO was new and they were playing the Mirage concert video over and over I stumbled across it one dull Saturday afternoon. I remember first seeing Lindsey and wondering who this cool drink of water was.

![]() A very strained relationship... Fleetwood Mac should be the soundtrack to each one of those...

![]() When i was REALLY young, my granddad always had the greatest hits playing in the car so i listened to them quite passively as a young kid. then in 1994 i went to see Forrest Gump at the cinema and during the part when he's running (for no reason) GYOW came on, and i was just sat thinking, "OMG, where the hell do i know this song from!!" I figured out what it was then went home and dug out my mums greatest hits LP! which is when it all began...
GYOW was also on the soundtrack to Casino, have any other FM songs been used in films? |
