Peter B's Looners

What's available in terms of recordings of Peter B's from when Mick and Peter Green were a part of it? Were there any Green songs they did?

The first two (or three) songs on Disc 1 of the Showbiz Blues collection are the Peter B's Looners. I don't think they did any Peter Green originals, since I don't think Peter was even writing then.

Those three songs are instrumentals from early 1966 - "Soul Dressing", "If You Want To Be Happy", and "Outrage" - and they are all covers. They're very un-Mac - Pete Bardens was a keyboard whiz, so they're very keyboard-heavy. "Soul Dressing" and "Outrage" have nice guitar solos though.

They released one single - a slightly different version of "If You Want To Be Happy" with "Jodrell Blues" on the B-side. I don't know much about that tune, but it wasn't written by Peter. Those 4 tracks are the only Peter B's tunes I've ever heard of.

Thanks for Jodrell Blues! It is very piano heavy but the lead guitar is very Yardbirdsesque.

There was a later Peter B's Looners, but without anything of particular interest to FM fans as far as I could tell.

Then there was that album Bardens recorded with Green on most of the songs...very jam oriented album...I believe it was recorded in 1969...Don't Goof With the Spook was one song I remember...the album I found was a clear vinyl pressing...Green had some good solos on that album...
