Stadium concert with the Eagles? My all time two favorite groups? Don't tease me like that!
Mick said he thought the band would be doing stadium shows with another big band after the 2019 tour.

I remember when there was talk of an Eagles/FM Tour in 2010 but it wound up being Eagles, Chicks, and Keith Urban. That was so sad. A greatest hits set with just How Long as the candy in it...the Long Road Out of Eden show was so good because it had like 8 new songs in the show.

You'll be going to see Stevie at one of her festivals this fall. Hold up a John 3:16 sign

I'll be shocked if anything happens again. Time ain't on their side.
John's over it.
If Christine hadn't taken a 16 year break, she'd be over it(a long time ago).
I think one offs are the only thing $tevie's coming back for.
Old Dick better talk Lindsey into something, because that's all the old idiot's got left.

I never got to see the Eagles until a couple years ago. When they reunited in 94, tickets were just too god damned expensive, and I told myself I'd eventually get around to it. I did see Henley like 5-6 times though, back when his solo career was on fire.

I won't go see FM again with $tevie. Especially if Lindsey comes back. Them holding hands and kissing would be the ultimate slap in the face to any lifelong fan. The old goat ruined the ending.

But if I did, I'd wear my "$tevie Nicks sucks" shirt. Except the Chiffonheads would probably beat me to death!

interesting the Mitchell Froom link as of course he worked with LB.

This meme about the band members being old has come up several times now... funny how when Chris mentioned it, about really John, and to some extent herself as well, she got slapped down and made to walk it back. (My suspicion then and still now was the Stevie/Stevie's management had a big hand in that, not wanting to turn off fans for the remaining Stevie gig$).

When she said it it reminded me of Lindsey's comment during the whole firing fiasco that Chris was "fragile".

Now again we have a band member (Neil) saying that age is a real factor in trying to get them to do anything more as a band. Wonder if he'll get a smack down phone call. Won't likely matter because he's back to his real band now anyway

It really does sound like the McVies are done, and it'd have to be a really big paycheck for a very limited amount of time to get them (esp John I think) to get out there again. Given John's loathing of the studio, getting him to do another record seems quite slim to none as well. (Though maybe after a hiatus from the road he might miss playing a bit...or not. I still think he'd rather be out on his boat chilling out).

Mick and Stevie really are cut from the same cloth, both want to get onstage til they drop....too bad for him she's never really brought him into her solo work (an brief appearance in a video, and he has played on a couple of studio tracks) and even when she did it was not to the same extent LB has (big swaths of albums).

Neil Finn AND Mike Campbell were nothing more than temporary hired hands to do a one off Fleetwood Mac tour without Lindsey while he took a temporary leave of absence to do a solo album and work on his marriage.

The hiring of the office temps also gave Stevie a break from Lindsey because they cannot stand each other. Make no mistake, the Buckingham/Nicks disdain for one another was NOT the reason for the fake “firing”.

Neil’s temp job with Fleetwood Mac has come to an end—he knows it, management knows it, the band knows it. Expect an official announcement sometime by the third quarter of 2022.

The lawsuit + settlement was part of the act too?

Oh, how I wish you were joking. If you really expect Lindsey stepped aside voluntarily you cannot have watched any of the interviews where he discusses his firing. He believed it came from Stevie and she instigated a coup against him. He also received a payout from the band to compensate him for the income he would have made if he had been allowed to participate in the 2018-2019 tour, LIKE HE WANTED TO. That’s right, Lindsey wanted to perform in the 2018-2019 tour.

By the way, if he was given time off to work on his marriage, it worked a treat right? NO! He is getting a flaming divorce! Or is that “fake” too?

Please tell us all now that you are just trolling. Please.

I think Mick is a really good drummer, can cover many genres and styles. Stevie is just trying to stay relevant. She's narcissistic and has nothing else in her life. Oh, and she neeeeds money!!!!!

I saw Henley at Irvine Meadows on the Beast tour. I remember a bunch of us smoking pot and listening to an extended “Sunset Grill” under the stars. What a night!

Very few albums are masterpieces. BTPB is a perfect album, as is Rumours. Bella Donna, too!

Neil said CH will play at Glastonbury in June 2022. Mac and CH at the same time?

CH did Don't Dream It's Over for The Ellen Show today:

Neil's got a hot jacket.

From a new interview with Neil:
I spoke with Mick Fleetwood a few months ago. He said he’s on speaking terms again with Lindsey Buckingham and wouldn’t be opposed to him rejoining the band. If that happens, as a fan, will you be happy? Will you gladly step aside to make room for it?
Neil: I would be delighted for them if they reconcile. I would gladly step aside to allow that to happen. I’m not entering the arena in terms of whether that is possible. But I’m really happy that Mick has crossed some bridges with Lindsey. I know that had to happen at some point. I know it’s not as simple as that. But look, if it served Fleetwood Mac and its best interests, I would be delighted for them. I wouldn’t lay any claim or put any obstacles in front of them.
