Interesting Tusk photo shoot article

I am not surprised at any of this. There is a video on youtube of a Tusk photoshoot while playing Bruce Springsteen. All the band members are just wasted and doing whatever they wanted. I guess they were still in the Rumours limelight where they were on top of the world in their mind and pompous as ever. I love the Tusk album cover but never cared for the inserts. Even for 1979 the photoshop was bad IMHO. In all the Tusk photoshoots I have seen, everyone is wasted and it would be impossible for anyone especially a photographer to lead them a certain way. I remember the limo tapes and how dumb the conversations were. This is what drugs do to people. It makes them feel brilliant but they come off as dumb and in this case stubborn. I think the Tusk era highlighted the excesses of the band: Separate limos, grand pianos in hotel suites painted pink, VIP catering that no one ate. And they wonder once Tusk was wrapped up there was not that much profit.
The Tusk era was an end to an era. Post Tusk they all had their own managers and solo work led them astray.
