I’m disappointed. The poem doesn’t say anything about 9-11, Desert Storm, Persian carpets or The civil rights movement.

I welcome this untitled addition to the American poetry canon.

The sparing use of pronouns engenders poignant verisimilitude.

And scansion is aided by the flawless employment of rambolic blathameter.

In a mere fifty lines, so much is said -- but also, so little.

I disagree. The scansion would be aided if the poem were haploid. But in this case it's diploid.
