I know your point is to have a minute of fun and you made it. But if I I took your words seriously, believe me, if she had continued on klonopin for more years, she would not have made it. I know many celebrites have survived years of cocaine and continued their careers. Elton, Steven Tyler, Stephen King, Stevie herself. She have survived klonopin (or its real name, clonazepam), but if she continued more time, her brain would be more than burned. Actually I think her mind is already affected and klonopin is the main responsible for the incoherencies she usually says.

I know 2 people that their brains were more than damaged because of clonazepam. One of them a senior lady, and relative of mine, I will never understand why the doctor continued prescribing her that drug.

Nah, she's always been a dingbat.

Robert Christgau once referred to her as a mooncalf.

I'm glad she kicked the Klonopin thing. That could not have been easy. I remember being really sad for her from 1986-1994. "Blue Denim" was a highpoint. Then, she did the Twisted soundtrack with Lindsey and traces of her old self started to resurface.

By the time I saw her on The Dance I was rooting for her. Her comeback was triumphant. She looked great, sounded great, and was grateful to have the second-chance. It wasn't until the Say You Will tour had ended that I began to sour on her. Her personality changed--or revealed itself...can't tell.

I used to love her as well. Up until OSOTM. When her music started to suck, I stopped caring. And then she became all self absorbed, and I really stopped caring.
