First single off the album was the first Fleetwood Mac song released in five years. It went to #5. The next song, sung by the big star in the band, released before the drama, barely cracked the Top 20. The song in question was released after the big drama and its video was edited in a way that played up that drama. The song reached #4 and topped the MTV video charts while the new lineup was on tour. The final single reached #14 and had a rarely (if ever) played video.

However, some don’t want to believe the novelty, drama, and cool videos had anything to do with the success of the respective songs.
