Default FM at Jones Beach June 22 2013

Anybody going to this show.It looks like JB survived Sandy,I can imagine how high the tides were at that time.I was at Stevie's show when the tides flooded the front sections out.As I remember Chris Isaak walked in the water singing and shaking hands.

Lets hope for good weather that night.

Default Jones Beach Theater repairs

I have a friend who works for Live Nation, who owns a share of the Jones Beach Theater along with some other entities, including New York State (as Jones Beach State Park). As the named sponsor and principal advertiser respectively, Nikon and Coca-Cola also put a lot of money into the venue.

The damage after Superstorm Sandy was extensive. Much of the the stage platform, amphitheater seating, backstage, green room, dressing rooms and public areas were essentially destroyed. Much work has been done to repair the whole area, and it is going to be ready for the summer, but most of the theater, as well as JBSP boardwalks, concession stands, bathhouses, parking lots, dunes and beaches were submerged and/or destroyed.

I'll be at the show if I can get a ticket.

They probably get the federal dollars to clean it up on time of the opening act.

I'm very surprised that the roof of the stage is still there.

The electrics got to be reworked on the first level area of the venue plus the concession area and the stage area.

I wish JB luck to back on the their feet for the upcoming season.

These photos remind me when the Grand Ole Opry got flooded out years back.I was so heartbroken when I seen those photos online.

Default BUmp

Instead of making more threads for FM's stop at Jones Beach.

So I bump this one up.

Lets pray for good weather for this show coming up.We've been having rain like the tropics here lately.

After seeing those horrible pix of the flood waters .I'm glad they fix it up for this season.

I probably can travel via canoe from here right to JB by the stage.LOL......

LiveNation keeps on releasing Platinum Tickets at less than face value...I'm still waiting till the 22nd to see what happens with the drop/StubHub day of show ticket dump before buying $200 tickets.

Just playing around with Stubhub .They got nose bleed seats for $85 and up.Thats pretty cheap for Stubhub.

If you mind spending $647 for some seats in Orc A in row H .If it was the first two rows I would of jump on it.

I'll be ok where I'll be for $400 less a couple rows back in row A.
