In memory of Celtic Frost?
(I posted about this at the legboard but wanted to try my luck here on this as well). :
I came across this album which (you'll see down at the bottom of the page) according to this link, it says Lindsey plays guitar on this V/A "In memory of Celtic Frost" tribute album but I can't even think which song he might be on from this (if this is even accurate). Anyone know more about this album? http://www.jandr.com/JRMusicAlbumPag...ST+%2F+VARIOUS I'd like to make sure he's on it before I buy it y'know? Any help on this would be great as I don't know where else to try on this. Thanks in advance. John Last edited by wetcamelfood; 07-07-2003 at 02:27 PM.. |

Huh?
Those titles look like death metal bands and songs!! LMAO!! Where in the WORLD would Lindsey fit in there!?? If you click on his name, it gives a list of CD's he's on. Is Celtic Frost a band or a person?

Yeah, Celtic Frost is/was apparently a thrash/death metal band so this is a V/A tribute album to them, most of these bands are from Norway I think except 2 which are American but Closedown is the one out of those two that seems closest to what LB would do anything with I'd imagine as I've heard that they are sort of like Cockteau Twins but eh, who knows. I'm guessing this is either:
1. A mistake (though I have seen it on a few sites now, I figure one made an error on this and then those other sites took that error from the first site thinking it was right and listed it the same way on their sites you know?) or... 2. Maybe Closedown (or whoever) sampled a Lindsey guitar part we already have in to one of their recordings on this album. So, I'll let everyone know here if I do find out anything else about this but I just posted this here in the hopes an LB fan here might know more about this or something. John |

UPDATE
Well, we can forget about this one, just found out that the song on here by the band called Thirteen has a guitar player called Liz Buckingham on it (and she's pictured with the rest of the band so she must be in that band) so some dope must've taken that info down wrong and it snowballed to a few sites.
Stupid Allmusic.com, I wish they'd take submissions/corrections, maybe if a bunch of us write them they'll clean up Lindsey's (and the other FM members too) discographies? It's just a shame there may be people out there believing what they list when their discographies are riddled with errors. Strange how every once in a while an ERROR there obviously gets submitted and added to the site but when you try and send them accurate info, they won't take it! Oh well, sorry to everyone here for the time waste anyways. John |

lmao!
Liz Buckingham - that's classic!
C'mon John - you gotta complete your Liz Buckingham collection, dude! Well we know Lindsey was frustrated that he couldn't be in The Clash etc ... maybe he joined one of these death metal bands under a pseudonym LOL
