Default Gary Moore's Top Six

In this interview in the Norwich Evening News it lists Moore's Top Six-String legends. But they tried to match each musician up with a string, so I'm not sure they didn't cheat a little.

Bottom E - Clapton

A: Beck

D: Hendrix

G: Peter Green

B: Django Reinhardt

High E: BB King

Here's an excerpt from another interview with Moore by Richard Batson:

http://www.edp24.co.uk/content/edp24...A41%3A17%3A697

“A lot of guitarists, especially youngsters, like to fill every effing gap, not realising they won't fall down the hole and die.

“It is about phasing - and stopping, leaving people hanging for the next note” - something he learned from his main mentor Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac - who he paid tribute to with his 1995 Blues for Greeny album.

I think thats one of the re-issues gibson have made for him, he doesnt derve it in my opnion . Obvioulsy a supremely talented guitar player but he´s no blues man no matter how many faces he pulls when he plays.

I agree with you on that one Greenmanastrat. Gary Moore is not a blues player as such, even though a lot of people would come to another conclusion.

I like this YouTube clip with him and B.B. King, though. I even think he "says hello" to PG at the very end . Listen....
