BACKGROUND: My journey into celebrity photography began in 1964, taking photos of baseball players. As the years went by and I became more interested in music, I began taking photos of rock & roll musicians. In the early years, I used an "Instamatic," type camera, then gradually upgraded my camera equipment over the years. I have photographed many of the biggest names in rock & roll, with my off-stage, candid photos being particularly popular.
I have taken a number of historic photographs, including Elvis Presley, off-stage, six weeks before he passed away and extensive photos of The Who during the 1979 concert tragedy in Cincinnati. In 1998,I published a book of my photos, "Guess Who's Coming to Cincinnati."
I have also had several exhibitions of my photos, including at VH-1 headquarters in New York. For a couple of brief periods between 1999 and 2001, I offered signed and numbered limited edition copies of some of my photos. Time limitations prevented me from making my photos available more often. I had long planned to resume offering my photos but my time has always been very limited and I did not have the time to put in the work required to make it happen. I recently decided to set aside some time to make some of my photos available once again.
