I'd make the exact same decision she did.
But...but...but...but Stevie had their only number one.

You've not been here very much lately, Hillary. Everything okay?

Hm, I wonder who you were talking about. I can't find it amuisng; I love her voice too much. Or perhaps it's my sort of weird mood, too. Anyway...I didn't know people noticed I'd been gone. You're very sweet. Thanks for asking about me. Everything's okay. School and work just started so I have these small intervals during which I can get on the computer and talk to y'all. I'm missing my lazy summer...my summer of that one overwhelming and oh-so-enthralling and all-consuming crush. (Did I mention that it was/is a pretty big deal? ) Anyway, I don't have a computer in my dorm room. I have to hang out at the university's computer labs. Presently, I should be reading something by Plato and that damn Epic of Gilgamesh, typing notes about Ancient Britain, and/or seeing if my students need help. *insert screaming emoticon* I'll be okay, though. Sorry for the long response; I know you didn't ask for one of my epics. But then, who does?

That's what friends are for. You're one of my very favorite people here!

Did you ever tell this person?

I figured you were just busy. Is there a regular time that you're usually here?

I do know that...most of the time. But I enjoy arguing with you.

Back at ya.

Not yet but one day I will. I'm waiting on a time that's right and it won't be so much of a surprise, perhaps.

I've been trying to get into the habit of getting on here in the morning before class/work. Lately I've been up here on the computer around eight in the morning. I'd hate to lose touch with the board completely so I'm going to try to stick with that habit. Same with the Christine board over at her site. Well, I'm heading to the library to snag some weird book I have to read. Again, thanks for your concern. You are very good to me.

Arg! You morning people. I guess I'll have to read all your posts way after the fact. My last two years of school, I never took a class before 11:15. It was better for me to take a much harder elective at 11:15, than an easier one at 8! Mornings(shudder....).
Hit da books, girl!

And we got (probably) one last listen to the marvellous voice.

Good on yer girl!

I agree with all of that, except I hope you're wrong about In The Meantime being the last listen to that fantastic voice(although I am realistic).

I would have done the same thing she did too, probably even quit a bit sooner than she did. I think we're lucky we got as much from her as we did. By the way I have a magazine interview with her from back in 1984. She said at that time she only wanted another 10 years in the music business, then she wanted the rest of her life to have some fun. She came awfully close to that. She ended putting in another 13 years through the Dance reunion. Perfect timing....
