Sonoma County, CA Apparently Run by Inhuman Monsters
Read this today: Sonoma County CA separates elderly gay couple and sells all of their wordly possessions
First it made me cry a little, and then it made me want to break stuff. It hit a bit close to home considering the recent morass of villainy and despair we just went through when my elderly gay uncle passed away at the end of January. We were not related by blood, but we were the only family he had. He had all of his paperwork in order for us and his boyfriend to take care of him should he become unable to do so on his own...and yeah, things didn't quite go the way we thought they would when the time came. So I'm just doing my little part to spread the word about this story.

Its horrifying. The fact that it happened in Sonoma County (heavily liberal/voted down Prop 8 2-to-1) is even more shocking.

**** Further linkage to add to Luke's Facebook link: The NCLR case docket, including pdf of complaint. Dan Savage says stuff. Local paper gets around to reporting story - county apparently claims the men were separated due to domestic abuse
