Default Band MGMT sounds like nowaday "Tusk" song

I can't help but think of Christines keyboard right off the bat at the beginning
and John's bass throughout the whoooolllle song, as well as Mick style drumming. You can hear all three Christine, Mick, and john especially at 2:43-3:00

You can hear Lindsey ryhtm guitar from 1:00-1:30
and Lindsey picking style with the electric guitar 1:30-1:45
and of course Stevie at 3:02, lol you'll get it when you hear it.

and over all the harmonies, could be considered Lindsey and Stevie Like, love this band, and probablyothers who are in my generation, Miranda95, Dani, and others I may not know...BTW my name is Marty, haha

Overall what an amazing catchy song

Yes, absolutely. This is from their second album, and the whole thing (Oracular Spectacular) to me has a very strong Tusk influence. Their newest album is much darker, and less upbeat for the most part.

I totally agree- although I didn't get the Stevie part! Definitely a band I'd like to check out more.

I love love love Oracular Spectacular but I've heard their new disc Congratulations is quite the departure so I'm a little nervous about buying it. I've heard if you like OS, you may be disappointed with Congratulations. Anyone heard the new one yet and care to comment??

This is true, but after a few months it has grown on me. I do think it is worth buying, but it is a completely different sound.
