Default What's Your Favorite Architectural Style?

I've posted before that I like castles & cathedrals (esp. Gothic & perpendicular for the latter).
A friend of mine loves the Chicago School. I'm not a big fan, though my favorite building on my college campus is in that style.
My parents favor very modern styles, my mom especially. The more futuristic the better.

How about you?

I never really thought about it before...but I guess I like older stuff...like from early America...I'm fascinated by Rochester and some of its older buildings - I think the Kodak building is amazing...not to mention the George Eastman house...very amazing....so I'm not sure what the name of the type of architecture is that I like...but I know what I like when I see it

Richardsonian Romanesq. followed VERY closely by Greek Revivial. I also LOVE Art Deco - but not as much as the former two. I am not into ultra modern, but have an appreciation for it.

Default Old styles..

Nothing like european castles.. I adore them. That's why I love England country. Leeds, Windsor, Blenheim, it's wonderful!! And towns like Cambridge or Stratford upon Avon..

About churches, Sevilla Cathedral, Vatican of course, Koln cathedral, and Cusco and Lima Cathedral!!!

And mosques and muslim architecture: Taj Mahal, Cairo mosques.

And the Royal Thai palace in Bangkok.

As you can see mopder architecture does not turn me on.

The East Coast has some great older buildings.
