Default Christine Perfect Album is coming to CD!!

I just found this on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...750067-0206325

And both of her Chicken Shack albums are coming again to CD.

These are still fairly expensive-nearly $30(They are Japanese imports). But, in the case of the Christine Perfect album, that's better than $100 for a used copy. It looks like they've been remastered. The only bad thing is that it doesn't say anything about any bonus tracks.

Thanks for the info, M.!

I wonder if this is a good sign that it will soon be released in other countries as well.

And perhaps be a bit cheaper?

Thanks for the info.

I can't see them on Amazon.co.uk yet but hopefully they'll be there soon.

Thanks for the information! I just checked CD Universe, and they have them about $5 cheaper than Amazon. Definitely a must-buy, just wish the prices were lower.

Maybe... When it was originally released on CD back in 1993, it was released in Europe & Japan. It does say limited edition. I take that to mean they're only going to print a relatively small number of CDs. I really doubt that it will be released here in the U.S., unfortunately.

By the way, I thought of you Johnny Stew when I first saw this listed on Amazon. You've posted numerous times wondering when this was going to be released on CD.

I checked there too. I think this was only listed on the U.S. site just this week. I'll be very surprised if the U.K. site doesn't list it pretty soon.

That's good. It's also very possible that Amazon will eventually lower their price. They usually do before the eventual release date.

I already have the CD imported from wherever . . . Japan, I think.

Is Chris playing a Rhodes Suitcase model or a Rhodes Stage model? It had to be the Suitcase, which was first introduced in 1965. The Stage wasn't introduced until 1971 (as the Mk 1). Does anyone have any other thoughts on this?

This new reissue probably won't have anything different on it, but it might be a better remaster job, which affects playback quality, which influences our moods & our humor, for good or for ill.

Why would anyone reissue this thing? There can't be more than 1,500 people worldwide who want it, or even know it. I bet more people would be the Christine McVie concert on a DVD.

I really don't think the Fleetwood Macsters are utmost in the minds of the kids who operate the labels & distribution companies. It's actually pretty amazing when anything gets reissued.

When Chris played the bridge solo on "Landslide" in 1975 - 1978, did she use a Suitecase or a Stage model? I think she used the Suitcase. In fact, to record or play live, I don't think she ever used the Stage model. I've never heard that particular Stage sound, either on record or on concert tape. What are your thoughts? Anyone think otherwise?

There's Rhodes all over the Legendary Christine Perfect album. What are your thoughts as to why Christine seemingly never recorded with the Hohner? My thinking is that the Hohner, while totally appropriate to the onstage sonic caterwauling of a typical rock band, would have sounded messy on record: the instrument has a very shallow, raspy breathing, & tends to key-click almost like a Hammond.

That's so sweet!

I've been very anxious to get this album on an officially released CD. I do have some scratchy mp3s and a cassette copy that my friend Louie sent to me, but nothing beats a remastered CD.

But, as bad as I want it, before I spend the 30 dollars to get it, I have to wonder if it will be available as a less expensive UK import.

I know what you mean. But, as someone mentioned earlier, CD Universe has it for $6 less. Their release date is also 4 weeks later than Amazon's.
