Need to know on GYOW...
From the Dance album, after most of the outro lead Lindsey is bending on two strings and playing them in the bent position and releasing them. This is just before playing the lower eight notes on the D and A strings before the song ends on C.
Which strings is he bending and what two frets is he holding these two notes on? Has anyone ever tabbed this version correctly? I have a instructional video I bought with some guy playing it, but I don't know what version he's playing, but it ain't the Dance version even though he says it is. The actual lesson isn't bad until the end of the outro lead. Then, I don't think he knows how it's supposed to sound. |

Hello!
I think he has his first finger on the 17th fret of the high E string, and his third finger on the 20th fret of the B string, bending it up a tone. Sadly I don't have a full strung electric with me at the moment |

That's a start. Thanks. I'll try that after lunch.

No problem mate! If that's not quite right try third finger on 20th fret of the high E, and bend up to A from the 20th fret of the B string again with the second finger.

Michael,
Do you have the Dance on CD? If you do, tell me what time frame you are talking about. I can play that whole solo in my sleep

If you have iTunes, it's at 3:56.
My CD player has no time stamp. |

D'oh! Now I'm at work and can't listen to it. If it's the part I'm thinking...
I'm pretty sure that's the tail end of the song at the end of the solo. I believe he's bending the top two strings (E & B) up simultaneously on the 19th or 20th fret.

Near as I can tell by ear is the E and B at the 21st fret. Damn hard to do on an LP.
I'll wait 'til you get home to check. |

You're right... i just can't be sure on the fret... I am pretty sure it's the 20th... I think he's bending more on the B string as well
I have never thought in terms of fret #s, as I usually just feel the change, or have to actually put my hands on the guitar to be certain

Yes I agree he has both fingers on the 20th fret, I think he is bending the B string while applying vibrato to the E.

There just isn't too much room up that high for two fingers.
I'll try a fret down to 20. You guys know where in the song I'l talking about though, right? |

I can play it. I'm pretty sure that's right. It's not any "easier" to play on a Turner than a LP... the Turner's have that neck heel thing that's so damn bulky

Yeah, I know about that. I probably won't even be holding the neck up that high, just pushing fingers on the fretboard.

I can tell you getting used to the Turner is a chore. A chore.
