Default New Year's Resolutions

So 2011 is approaching fast and we all know what that means...New Year's Resolutions!!! What are your goals for this upcoming new year? Did you follow through with 2010's resolutions?

Here's mine:

In 2011, I plan not be so judgmental of others. I want to have a more positive outlook on life and the people that surround me.

Last year (2010), my resolution was to keep up with my use of profanity. I'm up to 2,936 profanities (give or take a few).

My New Year's Resolution is going to be difficult for me... I want to lose weight but it's a hard line to walk because I once had an eating disorder and sometimes, I can feel that paranoia come back. So I guess my resolution is to work out more and eat healthier. The problem is that I already eat under 1500 calories a day and work out at least 4 days a week and I'm not satisfied. Le sigh....

I totally have complete faith in you girl! Do you have a workout buddy? Someone to encourage you on your journey?

Not really, but I'm fairly self-motivated. All I can really do is work out more because I already eat well (generally speaking) but I just need to make the time. We'll see how it goes!

It's probably a trite resolution to make, and we all know how hard these are to actually keep, but I resolve to take care of myself this year. I suffer from depression, and I am not known often to think of myself in any aspect. I look after everybody else; helping them with work where I forget to do my own, buying their food whilst forgetting to eat myself. I just generally treat myself like a third class citizen. But this year I made a huge step in forcing myself to begin counselling sessions, so I can come to terms with and deal with past emotional and physical parental abuse as well as other aspects of my past I otherwise avoid. Because I know well enough that alot of what happened to me growing up as helped mould me into a skittish, nervous, shy and overly worrysome person with absolutely no confidence and self esteem. But I want control over myself, damnit. I want to feel worthy of my skin, meat and bones for once.

I resolve to not make resolutions. I only break them by January 4th anyway, so why go through the trauma?

Surely that's a paradox? A resolution to not make a resolution is a resolution in itself. And an admittance that you will break it is infact saying that you no doubt will make a resolution, which makes this resolution false

2011 is going to be a year of focus for me. I know I can do well at what I try to, I just need to push myself to do that trying.

I'm going to try to not be as much of a doosh as I am.
I tried it at the beginning of this month.
It's difficult

It's an arrogance thing, and a thinking of myself instead of others thing.

So, I guess my resolution is to not be as arrogant, and start thinking about others before myself

I'm gonna try and not be so down on myself. I appear secure in public. However I go through bouts where I think I'll never be good enough for anyone. So must work on that.

My number new years resolution is to work my hardest to overcome my OCD so I can get on with my life and be able to go back to college. I want to be less anxious and I don't want to be so afraid of everything anymore.
